Mana Punch

For this idea, the team went in the opposite direction of our previous ideas, aiming to make a more serious-themed game with a less absurd premise.

So the idea that lead us to Mana Punch is best summarized as: Fight Club but with Wizards.

​

While that may sound similar to the previous games I worked on, the team wanted to make a conscious effort to make this as serious as possible. â€‹

So, I leaned more on the art direction and setting to best convey this. I painted an image of a mist-covered early industrial city, powered by universal energies. All while the regulators keep an ever-vigilant eye on the unlawful use of magic, cracking down on it with utter brutality and throwing those who survive into a new kind of Hell.
